ABOUT US
LEGIO II TRAIANA FORTIS (The strong Legion of Trajan). The first Cohort is a Las Vegas, Nevada based group of Roman Reenactors, the second Cohort is a large group based in Arvada, Colorado. We portray Late 1st and Early 2nd century A.D. Roman Military and Civilian life and welcome participation from other groups relative to the Roman period.
Since we portray every day Roman life, anyone regardless of Gender, Race or Religion is welcome to join.
Anyone from anywhere, with a interest in Roman history, is welcome to join as a INACTIVE MEMBER (just part of our web-community) or as a ACTIVE MEMBER to take a more active roll in the Legion. To participate as a Reenactor it's recommended that you have at least a Tunic (linen or wool), Balteus (military belt), Roman footwear, a Roman name (check Roman site's for names, found on the links page) and whatever relative gear you might have.
For those who are in the Las Vegas area and would like to join as a Civilian Reenactor, Barbarian or as a Gladiator/Gladiatrix go to the Civilian message board (found on contacts page). If you live in Colorado you can find the link for the second Cohort's club page on the contact us page. Roman Reenactors are also welcome to start a new II Traiana Chapter (Cohort) in their Hometowns and to start their own message boards. We have 8 to go. To stay up on the latest Roman events in the Southwest it is also recommended that you sign on to both of Legio 6's and Legio 9's Yahoo Club pages (Contact Us page).
The Legio II Traiana Fortis Reenactment Group was founded in 2002 by Loren G Tucker (Lucius Tuccius Eugenius), the 2nd Cohort was founded in 2003 by Stuart Lawrence. II Traiana Fortis. Service means Citizenship.
